Terms of Service

Last updated: September 16, 2026

1. The service

StatusDNS provides DNS, email and network diagnostic tools, monitoring and alerting (“the Service”). By creating an account or using the tools you agree to these terms.

2. Acceptable use

You may use the Service to check and monitor domains, hosts and IP addresses you own, manage, or have a legitimate interest in. You may not use it to attack, overload or scan third-party systems, to circumvent rate limits, to resell results without a partner agreement, or in violation of applicable law. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service.

3. Accounts and plans

Plans, limits and prices are described on the pricing page. Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; access continues until the end of the paid period. Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice.

4. Accuracy

Results reflect public data at the moment of the query. DNS, blacklist and registration data are controlled by third parties and may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. The Service is a diagnostic aid, not a guarantee of deliverability or availability.

5. Availability

We aim for the availability described in our SLA. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where practical.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, its software and content are ours or our licensors’. You retain all rights to your data. You grant us the right to process it to provide the Service.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost email or downtime.

8. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may terminate for breach of these terms with notice where reasonable.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes are subject to the courts of Amsterdam, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections.
